Working the Aggie football games is hard work. You get up early. Work a long day. Deal with hundreds of customers. Count lots of change, cups, bags of candy, popcorn buckets, etc. Serve countless Aggie dogs, hamburgers, nachos, and drinks. And one must go into these days well rested and fueled up.
Sweet Hubby. We’d gone to an away football game the night before, getting home very late. He got up early and made sure I had a good, strong cup of coffee before I left for the day.
But the whole day I dragged. D.R.A.G.G.E.D. As in, if I stood still, I felt like I would doze off. I even tried drinking a Coke at the game but it did nothing for me. I was really perplexed as to why I was so sleepy!
It wasn’t until the next morning when I figured it out. I’d skipped church so I could sleep in and get caught up on my rest. When I awoke, I made my way to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee.
And then I saw it.
In the Keurig.
A K-cup. With tiny writing that read, “Decaf.”
